Agris Bitāns participated in AIPPI Baltic conference of “Enforcement of IP Rights and Survival in New Environment”
From 19th until 21st of April 2011, in Riga was held AIPPI Baltic conference “Intellectual property rights implementation and existence in the new circumstances” which offered to discover interesting case studies, current news and professional views in protection of intellectual property rights field.
Conference attended senior experts from the Office of Harmonization for the Internal Market (OHIM), the European Patent Office (EPO), World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and practitioners, not only from the Baltic state’s, but also from Germany, USA, Russia, Hungary, Finland and other countries. Their presentation topics included novelties in legislation, administrative changes, as well as recent developments in the practice.
Managing Partner of Law Office “Eversheds Bitāns” and President of AIPPI Latvian National Group Agris Bitāns in the opening of the conference greeted participants and gave a presentation of “Personal rights, the way they can be commercialised” also he participated as a moderator for the last session of the judicial and administrative developments in the field of intellectual property.
